Backmasking (also known as backward masking) describes the deliberate recording
of lyrics/text backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. The art
is to achieve that this passage being played forward is intelligible text as well,
which sometimes even fits into the context of the song or other sound file. On
Jeff Milner's Backmasking Site you'll find sound files which are excerpts of songs
(such as Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven", The Beatle's "Imagine", The Doors'
"Break On Through",...) played forward and played backward. Quite funny to hear
and read the message unveiled when you play the file backwards.

Der Song "Dr. Mabuse" der Band Propaganda, incl. das Original Musikvideo aus den
80s. Propaganda wurde 1982 in Düsseldorf von Musiker Ralf Dörper, DJ Andreas Thein
und Sängerin Susanne Freytag gegründet. Später kamen der Musiker und Komponist
Michael Mertens und Vocalist Claudia Brücken hinzu. "Dr. Mabuse" (eine 1922 von
Filmmaker Fritz Lang erfundene Figur) wurde 1984 veröffentlicht.

in 1600, and alleged to have been staged prior to 1600, the earliest public performances
certainly known are two that were given at Court in the winter of 1612-13, during
the festivities preceding the marriage of Princess Elizabeth with Frederick V.
Much Ado About Nothing is set in Messina, a coastal settlement on the island of
Sicily and centers around the verbal fights between Beatrice (a niece of Leonato,
the governor of Messina) and the homecoming soldier Benedick. After engaging in
a competition of insulting each other for a while, they both fall victim to a
rather amusing plot by Claudio and Don Pedro who manage to convince each of them,
that the other person was in love with her/him, thereby evoking some kind of self-fulfilling
prophecy.

Windows Fehlermeldungen (die unter "Arbeitsplatz" zu finden sind) noch weit absurder
anmuten als die Fakes. Sehr lustig...solange Meldungen wie "Hilfe und Support
kann nicht geöffnet werden (...) Starten Sie Hilfe und Support, um dieses Problem
zu beheben" nur als Bild auf windoof.org erscheinen. ;-)
